Museums in Navarre

Ethnographic Museum
San Salvador, 18
Casa Fanticorena
31172 Arteta

The museum holds a variety of ethnographic items relating to the history of Navarre from the medieval period right up to the appearance of automated machinery in the 1930’s and 40’s, with exhibits representing traditional lifestyles (ironwork in particular), craftsmanship (principally wood and clay), games and costumes. Fanticorena, the house where the museum is installed, was constructed in 1668 and is one of the attractions of the visit, given the fact that it was constructed using local techniques. The Museum also exhibits some items created by its founder and current director, the sculptor José Ulibarrena Arellano.

Opening times: From 10 to 13,30 h.
